Snow Volcano- The children created a volcano
using real snow that they molded into a hill,
made a hole in the top, and filled with baking
soda and vinegar. |
Mitten Symmetry- The children learned about
symmetry by painting one mitten and then folding
the paper to paint the other, creating a
symmetrical pair.

R is for Raccoon- To go along with our
discussion of the letter R and the sound it
makes the children cut out a large letter R and
decorated it to look like a raccoon.

Marble Painting Snowglobes- The children created
their version of a snowglobe by cutting out a
circle that they then painted with marbles
covered in white paint. Once the paint was dry
the children glued their version of a snowman
into the globe and wrote their name on the base
of the globe.

S is for Strawberries- To go along with our
discussion of the letter S the children cut out
a large letter S and then decorated it to look
like a strawberry!

Button Shape Sort- The children sorted various
buttons by shape.
|
Snow Oobleck- The children created snow Oobleck
using cornstarch and water that they then added
snowman buttons to!
|
Mitten Math- The children played a mitten
matching game where they had to match the number
of shapes to the correct corresponding numeral.

Snowstorm in a Jar- The children helped create a
snowstorm in a jar using oil, white paint, and
alka seltzer tablets.

Button Size Sort- The children took turns
sorting buttons into the categories Small,
Medium, and Large.

Snowman Slime- The children created snow
slime using glue and laundry detergent that they
then added snowman buttons too!

T is for Tiger- To go along with our discussion
of the letter T and the sound it makes, the
children created their version of a Tiger.
